Preseason Training: August-October (folkstyle/collegiate style)As we embark on a new season, beginning August 1st, our club gears up for an intense preseason training cycle. During this time, we emphasize refocusing on folkstyle wrestling, fine-tuning our strength training, and establishing healthy dietary habits. This cycle also sets the standard for the upcoming season, guiding our approach to training and recovery.
This is our most intense cycle of the year while preparing our athletes for the challenges that lie ahead. While we have a few competition dates in September and October, our main objective is to train diligently and reach peak performance by the end of October when we travel to The Super 32 wrestling tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Beyond physical preparation, we place significant emphasis on mental readiness. Sharpening the minds of our athletes is essential not only for competition but also for cultivating positive habits in their daily lives. We believe in setting goals and encourage each athlete to collaborate with their coaches and mentors to create personalized plans for success, fostering a goal-oriented and supportive environment for all.
As we embark on this journey together, we welcome new parents and athletes to experience the dedication, discipline, and camaraderie that define our wrestling club. Here's to a season filled with growth, achievement, and shared victories. Let's make it one to remember!
